Information you choose to provide

You may enter character descriptions, edit extracted profile details, choose an image style, and select a standard character portrait. Do not submit text, personal data, or other material that you do not have the right to use.

Interactive demo mode

When live AI is not enabled, basic demo profile organization happens in your browser and the site displays prepared sample portraits. The demo does not send your description to OpenAI.

Live AI processing

When live AI is enabled, your description, confirmed profile details, and selected visual style are sent to OpenAI through server-side API requests solely to provide profile extraction and image generation. OpenAI processes that data under its own business and API data terms.

Novel Character AI does not create a user account or intentionally save your manuscript text or generated images in an application database in this release. Hosting and model providers may process limited request, security, and operational data according to their policies.

Data stored on your device

When you lock a standard image, the selected portrait, description, profile, and style are saved in your browser's local storage. This allows the character to be restored after a refresh. You can remove it by clearing site data for ncharacter.online in your browser.

Analytics, cookies, and selling data

The current beta does not use advertising cookies and does not sell personal information. If analytics are added later, this policy will be updated before those tools are enabled.

Questions or deletion requests

Contact us at a240110354@gmail.com. Because this release has no user accounts or application database, most saved character data can be deleted directly from your browser.
